THIS WEEK'S CHALLENGE

I lived in Reno, Nevada, for over 20 years. Every year the winters would
be so cold, icy and snowy. They were just miserable. I don't miss them
a bit. But, even here in balmy coastal South Carolina we get a cold
snap for a few days during January. We are finally seeing the end of
that and warm sunny days are on the way.

One of the pretty things that I remember about the icy cold was seeing
what the Washoe Indians called pogonip. That is a heavy frost that
would accumulate on the branches of tress. Beautiful.

Our theme this week will be 'Pogonip'. However, you want to interpret
that is up to you. I always love seeing your creative artworks.
The image that I used is the beautiful 'White Lady' from Art Freebies.
Feel free to use this image or one of your own.

In my sample the background picture is a pogonip scene around
Virgina City, NV, and the pogonip bush in the foreground is a picture
taken somewhere in the desert of Nevada. Both of these images can
be found at Wunderground.com Weather Photos.

Brrrrrr!

I hope you enjoy this week's 'Pogonip' challenge. Don't forget...
all of you that send in an entry will be automatically entered in our
end of the month drawing sponsored this month by Dezinaworld.
And, check out Dezinaworld's new challenges.
Fun.
