Here in the U.S., we're excited to see spring arrive! So, our Soartful theme for April is "Signs of Spring." What signals spring to you? Longer, day, warming temperatures, April showers, spring break, holidays, family traditions, the rebirth of nature? Please show us through the art you create for this challenge. Try to incorporate shades of green in your collage, as well as any other colors you choose.
We can't wait to see your springtime creations! Here are some Wikimedia Commons images to get you in a springtime mood; and below them, some inspiration art from our design team.
Hello everyone. It's Sheila here again, and I am very excited about our first challenge of 2014. The first drawing a child makes is often a picture of a pretty house with a door, windows and a sloping roof. The challenge from Soartful to you this month is to make a little house with something just that little bit different or out of place. Maybe it has a strange plant at the front door?
Maybe there is a strange face at the window?
Maybe you think a strange house is one with no windows or doors?
Whatever your idea of a "different" little house, I am quite amazingly looking forward to seeing it.
Welcome to our last Soartful Challenge of 2013! For our December challenge, we'd like you to try your hand at designing a postage stamp with a holiday and/or winter theme. You may use your choice of colors, and you may choose any country you wish-- even an imaginary one!
My sample digital collage is shown below for inspiration. Image credits will appear on my blog, here. The beautiful creations from our Design Team are also shown below.
Please have lots of fun with this challenge. We wish all of you a happy, healthy, safe, and wonderful holiday season and New Year!
